Welcome to the luxurious and masterfully designed Royal Palms Estate. Ideally created for an Executive Retreat or Luxury Rental, it features four master suites, all with private entry and pool and garden access. The main house hosts an elaborate gourmet kitchen, dining, billiards and theatre rooms, perfect for entertaining and all surrounded with full length windows to accentuate 180 degree views.

The sprawling entertainment spaces flow from inside out to the large covered lanai and separate pool area. Extensively built on 12 feet of concrete, you are afforded expansive ocean views, breathtaking sunrise and epic whale watching. A covered walkway takes you to each of the four master suites, pond and pool area. While inside the pool, gaze over the infinity edge into the gorgeous pacific ocean, swim underneath the lava waterfall or take a seat at the swim up bar. A sunken wet bar is the perfect place to prepare drinks and snacks to enjoy in the pool or relaxing poolside under the covered lounge area. You will also find a fifth bedroom in the pool house.

The gardens include coconuts, oranges, lemons, starfruit and produce over 10,000 pounds of lychee annually. The name is inspired by the incredible royal palms that lead you from the gated entry down the drive to the oversized two car garage. On the way you will pass a gorgeous, historic, 100 year old donkey barn that dates back to sugar cane days. There are also workers quarters on the far end of the property, ideal for a caretaker and storing garden equipment.

Property is being sold furnished. Do not miss this rare opportunity to own just shy of 13 acres, nearly oceanfront estate property, on the highly desirable Hamakua Coast.

North Hilo

Know for nearly ideal tropical weather, stunning cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean and vast expanses of hardwood forests, the North Hilo district on the Big Island's Hamakua Coast is home to several small communities, including Ninole, Papaaloa, Laupahoehoe and Ookala.

Here, historic plantation villages lie nestled among large expanses of agricultural and forested lands. This is a place where residents enjoy country living, but can also take advantage of North Hilo's close proximity to Hilo town.

Those least familiar with North Hilo likely know the stretch of Hawaii Belt Road that runs through the district for the three dramatic gulches that define this section of the Hamakua Coast drive: Maulua Gulch, Laupahoehoe Gulch and Kaawalii Gulch. Those more familiar with the district are acquainted with its rich history, including its deep roots in the sugar plantation era, traces of which are still very evident today.

A significant amount of land in this area is zoned as either agricultural or "forest reserve" conservation land. In some cases, residential properties are located adjacent to expansive forests of prized Koa or Ohia trees. As with the rest of the Big Island, this is a place where both plantation-style village homes and multi-million dollar estates are common offerings among listings for sale.

Our agents know this area well and have great respect for the heritage of the community. Working with a knowledgable Clark Realty agent will help those interested in Hamakua Coast real estate successfully navigate the ins and outs of rural Big Island real estate.
